Yves Olivier N. (Senior Agent):

“I am originally from Burundi, but I grew up in Paris, France. I obtained a bachelor’s degree in Administration from Laval University in Quebec City.
I’ve been working in the assistance field for two years now and I’ve been a senior agent for one year.
My job is to answer emergency calls and to plan and coordinate assistance to customers. As a “senior agent” I also support our team leader and help train new employees.
What I especially like about AXA Assistance Canada is that I am never bored at work. Each assistance case is different, and the company is constantly on the move and growing.
As well, the company greatly values its employees and offers a lot of flexibility (in regard to work schedules, vacations, etc.) and opportunities for rapid advancement.
Finally, the working environment is very pleasant and I appreciate the diversity of origins among my colleagues.”

Marie Claude B. (Team Leader):

“With my bachelor’s degree in Anthropology and Russian Studies, I would have never thought that I would end up working here. The first time I heard about AXA Assistance Canada was in Moscow, quite a ways from Montreal! One of the company managers was over there and I met him by chance. He suggested that I apply to AXA Assistance when I got back to Quebec.
I’ve been working for AXA Assistance Canada for six years now. I spent three years as an agent and then became a team leader. My work mainly involves managing the assistance team, but also recruiting new agents and acting as a “resource person.”
I love my work because I am constantly in contact with customers or our offices around the world. I feel like I’m living an international experience, without even leaving the country!
I find my work very satisfying because I’m helping people in need. I also get along very well with the management team and the agents, because the company structure is very informal and I don’t feel stifled by the hierarchy. The multicultural nature of our assistance offerings also contributes to the great atmosphere.”

Dallins O. (Senior Agent):

“I am originally from Trujillo in northern Peru and I chose to come to Montreal for a number of reasons, including how the city combines a French and European character with a definite American flavour. I also came for the opportunities to study public relations and communications in a world renowned institution: McGill University.
For a year now, I’ve been working as an assistance coordinator at AXA Assistance Canada. This position lets me combine my studies, my seasonal job as a tennis coach and my professional ambition to see the immediate impact I have on the lives of customers. And this work certainly gives me that!
When we get an emergency call and I have to come immediately to the aid of someone in distress, I know right away that I’ve made a difference.
